Class Info

I have a few people ask if I could describe the Winter Photography classes in more detail. Here are the class descriptions:

Buying a Digital Camera
If you are thinking about purchasing a digital camera, then this is the class for you! We’ll compare a variety of camera features, sizes, and prices while discussing the importance of basing your camera selection on specific individual needs and skill levels. We’ll also take time to touch on camera accessories including memory cards, batteries, camera bags, flash options, and lenses. Simplify the task of buying a digital camera and understand digital lingo such as mega pixels, LCD, option zoom and digital zoom. Bring your questions!

Introduction to Digital Photography
Learn the basic fundamentals of digital photography in this class created just for beginners. Whether you just purchased a new digital camera or want to further understand your point-and-shoot camera this is the perfect class for you! We’ll discuss the buttons and features on your digital camera. Learn how to turn the flash on and off, make a short video and choose the best auto settings for your subject. Please be sure to bring your digital camera to class.


Intermediate Digital Photography
This class is geared towards those who are comfortable with their digital camera but want to sharpen their photography skills. Move beyond the automatic mode and discover the advanced feature on your point-and-shoot or digital SLR camera. We’ll discuss aperture, shutter speeds, ISO, and white balance settings. Lean how to create a portrait and see interesting photo composition. This class will spark your creativity!
